The Swords and Spirits update is closer than you think. Learn everything you need to know to be ready when comes!
Brace yourself, Hero. There is a lot of information to unpack, so we’ll get straight to it. Here are some changes you can expect in the Swords and Spirits update:
Your Hero’s Power Level will change. First thing you’ll notice is that your Power Level has dropped. Don’t panic though. This is because all Gear in your Collections will automatically be removed and placed in your Gear Tab.
You can then go ahead and place the items back into the Collections as you see fit. Total bonus links, Collection bonuses, and different Gear stats will all contribute to making your Hero Power a little different than it used to be.
As mentioned in our New Updated Mechanics article, Gear will now have more potential. A Gear’s stats will also change a little. All Gear stats will change relative to one another, meaning that all Gear will still have the same “value” depending on what it is (new sets will still be stronger than older sets).
The Campaign will be partially reset. Players will be moved back in the Campaign depending on their Hero Power before update.
With a reset in Campaign comes a reset in rewards. When the Campaign resets, not all stages will have 3-Stars. You’ll have to go back and earn 3-stars in some stages. Stars for stages will be important, as they’ll allow you to get better Talents (more info on that later).
Stage’s star-milestone rewards have been adjusted. Overall, they will now contain more Gems. With new Battle and Campaign-related Quests, this means there are new rewards waiting to be obtained!
Stronger players will miss out on lower level rewards that they would have gotten should they have started from the beginning. Because of this, depending on a player’s Hero Power, these players will receive (for free) the Seeds and Talents they missed out on. These items will be automatically added to your Hero’s inventory when the update is live.
The Campaign will overall be more challenging that it was before. As we’ve mentioned in the past, there will be new monsters and more interesting interactions between them. Bosses will have distinctive characteristics with new mechanics and skills. They’ll now be a real challenge!
Speaking of challenges, the Campaign will now only have two difficulties instead of 3. Essences can now be found in this second difficulty.
Battles will now cost 3 energy in the new update. The maximum amount of energy you can store is still 30 though. The regeneration rate of energy will be increased because of this, meaning it will take less time to go from 0 to 30. No changes in Stews—they still give the same +12 Energy.
There will be a new Campaign item: Campaign Auto x10.
With this item, you can instantly loot a stage 10 times. The benefit is that using this item does not use energy meaning you can loot multiple stages without ever using energy if you save up enough of these Auto tickets! Some examples of where this new item can be found in in the Campaign as a star-milestone reward, and as milestone rewards from Daily Tasks. Once a stage has been looted/battled 10 times, you will not be able to do more battles unless you refresh it with Gems (similarly to the old version).
New Mode: Shrine
Before continuing, if you haven’t already, check out our article on Talents. The Shrine is unlocked at level 30.
How Do I Get There?
To get to the Shrine, go to Home > City > Shrine. It’ll be near the entrance to the Guild area.
What Can I Do Here?
The Shrine is where you can make duplicates of Talents you already own. This is useful if you’re trying to upgrade your Talents. There will new items introduced related to the Shrine: Seeds.
Seeds come in three different colors, one for each type of Talent (Blue, Red, and White).
These Seeds are the currency used to make duplicate Talents.
Where Do I Get Seeds?
Seeds can be obtained in a number of different ways:
- Challenge Bosses
